Subzero Blues
Temps are sub-zero, but the tempo is 120. My goal in this practice was to work on moving a pattern through chord changes for a simple blues form. This is in Concert Bb (Key of G on alto sax).
The initial seed for the rhythm was the opening line of "Don't Get Around Much Anymore." I’ve been noodling on other rhythms and playing them as one note, then as a scalar pattern, then triads of the major chord (G in this case), then ascending and descending arpeggios.
The backing track is a mashup from iReal Pro and I added extra drums in Garageband.
As always, thanks to Dan Nicholson for guiding me on my sax journey!
